We are a medical breastfeeding practice providing comprehensive breastfeeding and lactation services for both mothers and babies. We support each family on their own unique breastfeeding journey. We provide expert help, guidance, and treatment from prenatal all the way through weaning.

We offer information, support, encouragement, along with medical expertise and experience to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals, avoid problems, and treat any problems that arise. We believe that breastfeeding is natural but not always easy or intuitive, and that most women can successfully breastfeed with confidence and joy when given the proper support. It is a myth that mothers are or should be born knowing how to breastfeed. Like most other things in life, it is a learning process, and one that often requires support, encouragement, and sometimes assistance.

We are here to help you with any issue related to breastfeeding, including providing general education and guidance, breastfeeding basics, addressing common issues such as poor weight gain, milk supply, engorgement, mastitis, nipple and breast pain, nipple trauma, adoptive breastfeeding, supplementing, pumping, returning to work, weaning, and a variety of other issues or questions you may have.

It takes two to breastfeed, and beyond the mechanics it is a relationship, an intimate relationship between you and your baby. General breastfeeding guidance as well as addressing any problems almost always involves both mother and baby; therefore, we treat both of you. One of the problems with breastfeeding support is fragmented care, with one doctor treating the mother and another the baby and rarely communicating with each other or coordinating breastfeeding care and treatment. Often, there is no doctor knowledgeable or supportive of breastfeeding available for either the mother or baby. Our lactation consultants and doctors will examine and treat both of you. Together. As the pair you are. We will develop a detailed, specific plan and follow-up to be sure any issues have improved. We will communicate with your doctors if they have referred you to our practice. We will work with you to meet your breastfeeding goals, to help you feel comfortable and confident, and to make your breastfeeding experience a joyful one.

Our staff consists of pediatricians and lactation consultants who are board certified as International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC), the highest training and certification available in breastfeeding and lactation. Because we are a medical practice, visits are usually covered by health insurance plans.

Expert breastfeeding support, education, and assistance should be available for every mother who needs it. We feel that it is our honor and blessing to be able to help mothers, babies, and families during this unique time of their lives.
